Our Services

Most insurance plans cover lactation visits at little to no out-of-pocket cost.

We offer in-home and in-office lactation visits for families across North Carolina. There is no travel fee within 15 miles of RDU Airport. A $75 travel fee applies for in-home visits outside of our free travel radius (within 15 miles of RDU Airport) for locations up to approximately 35 minutes from our providers, including Chapel Hill, Garner, Holly Springs, Mebane, & Wake Forest.

We partner with The Lactation Network to help families with Curative Health, First Health, Multiplan (check your Aetna or UHC card for the Multiplan logo), Provider Network of America (PNOA), UMR, & United Healthcare and Wildflower Health to help families with Cigna get insurance coverage for lactation consultations. Additionally, we are also in-network with Aetna and Tricare and are able to accept HSA & FSA cards. Most insurances cover 6+ visits with no out-of-pocket cost. We verify your insurance benefits before your first visit, so there are no surprises! If we are not in-network with your health insurance, a superbill can be provided to you, if you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance company.

Lactation Discovery Call

A brief phone consultation to help you get started and determine the right level of support. We’ll discuss your feeding concerns and recommend the best next steps for you and your baby. This call helps ensure you’re matched with the right lactation support as quickly as possible.

Prenatal Lactation Visit

A prenatal lactation consultation helps you feel prepared and confident before your baby arrives. We review what to expect in the early days of breastfeeding, how milk supply develops, how to support latch and positioning, and how to set up your feeding plan in advance. This visit helps reduce uncertainty and supports a smoother transition after birth.

Initial Lactation Visit

The initial lactation consultation is a comprehensive 75-minute visit where your IBCLC evaluates feeding, latch, milk transfer, and your baby’s growth. Together, we create a personalized feeding plan and provide hands-on support, so you can feel more confident and comfortable feeding your baby.

Follow-Up Lactation Visit

A follow-up lactation visit provides continued, hands-on support as your feeding journey evolves. We reassess latch, milk transfer, pumping, and your baby’s feeding and growth, and adjust your plan as needed. Follow-up visits help reinforce progress and address any new or ongoing concerns so you continue moving toward your feeding goals.
